Fleur de Sel

Acclaimed by many chefs as the best of all sea salts, this hand-harvested variety is collected by workers who scrape only the top layer of salt before it sinks to the bottom of large salt pans. True Fleur de Sel can only be found in Guerande, France, and it is that scarcity (in addition to its superior quality) that gives it the nickname, “caviar of salts”. Fleur de Sel is naturally high in mineral content and low in sodium, with a delicate flavor and moist texture that make it a perfect complement to veggies, salads, or meats.
