Kala Namak Black Indian Salt

This volcanic rock salt is an “earth salt” mined in central India. Black salt is not black, but more reddish-gray, because of the presence of trace minerals and iron. It is an essential ingredient in authentic Indian cuisine, such as chutney. This salt is appreciated by vegans in dishes that mimic the taste of eggs.
