The Man Behind The Pasta

Gourmet Chef Joe D’Andrea runs the local pasta company Vera Pasta. D’Andrea grew up in an Italian household that focused on the cooking styles of the Abruzzi region in Italy that his grandmother introduced to him. After sticking with his hometown and attending West Chester University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Business, D’Andrea went on to study at the Culinary Academy in Manhattan. But he didn’t stop there; Joe continued his journey to learn everything about classical Italian techniques by studying at The International School of Italian Cuisine in Parma, Italy.

D’Andrea has brought his love for pasta back to West Chester. He has now returned to his roots to bring us the true flavors of authentic Italian cuisine at Vera Pasta. You can find his signature pasta at A Taste of Olive on High St.
