What is Small Business Saturday and when did it start?
The first-ever Small Business Saturday took place on November 27, 2010. It encouraged people across the country to support small, local businesses.
In 2011, the day became official. Governors, mayors, senators, and even President Obama, all voice their support for Small Business Saturday.
In 2012, our friends at American Express encouraged small business owners, like us, to take charge of the day, helping them promote their businesses with free personalized ads, which appeared millions of times across the web.
In 2013, neighborhoods, like ours, celebrated the day. The day continued to grow, with more individuals and local organizations pledging to support the day as Neighborhood Campaigns.
In 2014, the day became one for the books. Shoppers supported their neighborhood business like never before, continuing to embrace the days as a holiday shopping tradition.
In 2015, we hope that you join us in continuing this tradition to help our neighborhoods thrive.
For joining us this year on Small Business Saturday we would like to offer 15% off your purchase of olive oils and vinegars.
From our store to your kitchen we wish you a happy holiday!
