Once again, we would like to thank the many customers who have continued to support us as we opened our stores in West Chester and Chestnut Hill.
We thought long and hard before opening about how we could best protect both our staff and customers during this stressful time. I am thankful that all of our in-store customers have willingly worn masks and followed procedures designed to help all of us protect each other. We have always thought of our stores as serving and being part of a community, and that community spirit is evident every day.
Your support has done so much to help us stay afloat that we would like to pass along some of that kindness. In selecting high-quality gourmet products to put on our shelves, we were pleased to find several that are produced by small, women-owned companies. Over time, these women have become friends, and we know that they, too, are struggling. In an effort to introduce these, and other products to our online and in-store customers who may not have tried them, we decided to feature one each month.
For the month of August, we are turning the spotlight on to The Gracious Gourmet, another Nancy, who started out catering and then developed her current line of tapenades and spreads, many of which have become staples in my kitchen. I love the fact that many of her products are vegan and/or gluten-free as well as delicious. On her website are recipes that highlight many simple ways to use her products to create quick and flavorful appetizers, main course dishes, and desserts, and we have developed some of our own which you can find on our website. Nancy has also recently added a new line of jams to her delicious offerings.
