Dads & Grads: Spread the Love (and these condiments) on Thick

We know that on paper, Dads and Grads are in very different places in their lives and would require vastly different gifts to make them happy. The new graduate is about to embark on adult life--scary, exciting, and unpredictable. Dad, on the other hand, whether still in the diaper changing phase or the be-home-by-curfew phase, is waist deep in that life already—still scary, exciting, and unpredictable. But no matter where they are on their journey, whether seasoned chefs in a cooking rut, or just learning the difference between baking soda and baking powder, it’s never too early or too late to introduce some fun new ideas in the kitchen.

Spread love!

This list is condiment heavy, and for good reason. A flavorful pop elevates just about anything. It doesn’t matter if your Dad or Grad more closely resembles Emeril in the kitchen or is still relying on a cup-of-noodles for lunch. These are for anyone!

Like their phone, sometimes an upgrade is in order!

Does Dad have a go-to recipe that could use a little spicing up? Why not try our Mango Pineapple Chutney? It’s a little sweet, a little tangy, and perfect on fish, shellfish, pork, and chicken. Is your Grad a burger lover? Turn that burger into something downright gourmet with Farmhouse Tomato Jam—Yum!

Let's talk sandwich upgrades. What about upgrading their ho-hum yellow mustard with our Port Wine Cherry Mustard? How about taking their grilled cheese to another level by adding Gracious Gourmet’s Cranberry Raspberry Blood Orange Spread or Lemon Artichoke Pesto. Or maybe up their panini game with our Spicy Blend Olive Oil.

Tapenade? Don’t mind if I do.

Maybe they can pronounce it; maybe they’ve even heard it before. It comes from the Provencal word for capers, “tapenas”, and is usually a dish of finely chopped olives, capers, and olive oils. But at A Taste of Olive, that’s just the beginning! Try our Artichoke and Green Olive or Roasted Red Pepper and Goat Cheese, and so many more! Pack a ton of flavor in without a ton of effort. Spread them on crusty bread or on top of fish for a taste of France without the pricey airline ticket.

Crack a Cold One… Sort of

Let us introduce you to Potlicker Kitchen Beer Jellies. No, it’s not just a clever play on words-- they really are beer jellies We have a dozen different varieties, including Heady and India Pale Ale. These bad boys aren’t just for toast. Top meat or cheese, make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or salmon on the grill. Take their love of beer and elevate it to something new!

Our Dads and Grads take our lives from ordinary to EXTRAORDINARY. Thank and congratulate them by helping them do the same to their food!
